Meet Our Lead Inspectors

Jeff Pope

Lead Commercial Inspector

For nearly 20 years before becoming an inspector, Jeff worked on major commercial and industrial projects across the West Coast, Las Vegas, and Hawaii, including water treatment facilities, sports arenas, tunnels, casinos, resorts, and bridges.

Since 2002, Jeff has been a full-time inspector, contributing to the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics for the nation’s largest inspection association. He also helped develop educational materials for their electrical courses. Over his 20+ year career, Jeff has conducted more than 12,000 property inspections.

Edward Breland, P.E.

Lead Environmental Engineer

Edward has over 40 years of experience in civil and environmental engineering. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas and holds national certifications as an Environmental Specialist and Inspector. He’s contributed to 6,000 Environmental Site Assessments and 3,500 Property Condition Assessments across 45 states, serving clients in healthcare, real estate, and commercial industries. He is an active member of NSPE, ASCE, and TSPE, and serves on the Board of Advisors for Tulane University’s School of Science and Engineering

Benjamin Hammond

Owner
Benjamin has over 20 years construction experience, with projects ranging from multi-family and mixed used to restaurants and retail. Working with owners, tenants, insurance agents and property management staff, Benjamin has the deep practical knowledge and the project management experience to identify risks and work with customers to get them prioritized and resolved. Providing a strategic perspective for uncovering red flags that migh negatively affect future cashflow or property value.

Scheduling Coordinator

My name is Kreshelle Belaya. I’m a scheduling coordinator for TN Commercial Property Inspections. I’m from Davao City, Philippines. I studied AB Philosophy in Mindanao State University. I’ve had over 7 years of experience in the customer service industry mainly for some of the big companies in the US working as a representative and as a Training Supervisor. Some of my previous experiences were as a virtual assistant to Real estate Agents, Brokers and Property Managers. I’m a mom to a 1 year old little boy. I love the outdoors and enjoy hiking, trekking and camping out on forests or mountains.

I appreciate being part of the team because they make sure you are well supported- From onboarding, training and even when you are already working together, it is always a priority that everyone is well-equipped with knowledge and skills to fully support our clients. This means people in the company invest in time and effort to train, answer questions and patience to guide.

Peter

Home Inspector

Peter began with us as an Inspector Assistant, working side-by-side with Benjamin as his Assistant & Radon Inspector. He quickly advanced through our apprenticeship program to become an Inspector! With his extensive background in the building & construction industry, it was the perfect next move for him & for TN Commercial Property Inspections. Peter Grew up in Osceola, WI. He traveled for he & his wife’s work ALL OVER from WI to MN, CO, OR to Europe & Singapore to TN. Peter’s background is primarily in residential & commercial remodels- one of which was a job in Europe to work on the owner of Monkey World’s house! We are so lucky to have him & his years of building experience on our team! He’s also an incredible family man. Peter was a stay at home dad for his son’s first year & homeschooled his wonderful son as the family traveled across the globe for his wife’s work.

Andrew

Environmental Technician

Andrew joined the Magnolia Team in April 2023. Born and raised in northern California, he moved to Spring Hill to be closer to his family. With 8 years of experience managing hazardous medical waste contracts in major healthcare organizations like Sutter Health and Kaiser Permanente, he then spent a year in construction material inspection, specializing in soils, lime treatments, and paving.

Andrew is a devoted husband and father to a daughter born in 2021, along with two cats. When not working or enjoying time with his family, he devotes his free time to playing drums or dissecting movies and how they’re made.

Nick

Home Inspector

Nick grew up in McMinnville, Tennessee and attended Clemson University for engineering undergraduate and graduate school.  After completing his master’s degree in Industrial Management he spent 16 years working for Lowe’s Home Improvement at their corporate headquarters just outside Charlotte, NC.  He has extensive experience in supply chain, transportation, inventory planning, and merchandising management.  He and his family were able to move back to TN from Charlotte in 2019, and have settled down in Franklin.  He is a husband and father of three with two daughters and a son.  Along with spending time with his family, he loves to exercise and be as active as possible. He enjoys carpentry and woodworking, as well as home renovation projects.  In the fall you can always find him rooting on the Tigers as he is a big college football fan.  He and his family have loved being back in Tennessee, and are excited to spend more time with extended family.

Fun fact: He was a cheerleader at Clemson University and managed a competitive cheerleading gym throughout graduate school.  His wife was also a cheerleader, which is how they met!

Luke

Home Inspector

Luke was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, and moved to Nashville in December of 2021 with his wife and daughter. He comes to Magnolia with over 15 years of customer service and retail experience along with 7 years of commercial construction management doing first-generation office and restaurant build-outs and interior remodels. In his free time, he enjoys time at home doing his own home improvement projects, gardening, and cooking for his family. Every year he and his family look forward to their annual vacation with extended family and traveling, looking for the best local restaurants.

Brandon

Home Inspector

Brandon is the newest Magnolia team member. As a Nashville native he has spent most of his career in operations management and the pest control industry. He comes to us with over 16 years of experience in servicing homes for a variety of pests and providing WDO reports for real estate transactions. (Termite Letters)

He is a husband, father of two daughters and welcomed his first grandson this year. Brandon is also Dad to two spoiled fur babies, Tank and Harlee. In his spare time, he is a devoted Miami Dolphin and Florida Gator fan. Fins Up and Go Gators!!!

Benjamin

Owner and Lead Inspector

With over 20 years of residential and commercial construction experience Benjamin created Magnolia Home Inspections to provide home buyers, realtors, investors & builders a true partner in real estate transactions. As a residential contractor, he completed both high-end additions and gut-remodels on 100 year old homes including an historical architectural landmark home in East Nashville. In the commercial industry he has managed million dollar projects including multi-family insurance restorations. Benjamin works hard and plays hard, competing in many of his hobbies. His athletic hobbies include running and Jiu Jitsu (Benjamin recently received his Blue Belt from the 4-Time Black Belt World Champion Gui Mendes of AOJ in California). Benjamin hosts regular poker games, trains at the Royal Range, is a member of the Nashville Gun Club and competes regularly in pinball tournaments.
